Obituary of Christine (Paddick) Mahalick

Christine (Paddick) Mahalick, 82, of St. David's, Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, while in the care of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Born in Plains on May 8, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Smoliga Paddick.  Christine grew up in the Plains area and attended local schools. She was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1953.

A few years later, Christine married Chester J. Mahalick. Together they raised three children: Sandra, Susan, and Christopher.

For several years she worked as a bank teller in the Plains area. Recently she was helping her daughter Sandra’s retail businesses until her retirement.

 Christine was an avid reader; she belonged to cookbook club because she was an excellent chef. She enjoyed cleaning and had the best organizational skills when it came to home or business. Most of all she was a loving grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Chester; sisters Annie Bonetski and Mary Sabol; brothers John; Nikki; George; Michael, and Stephen.

Surviving are her daughters Susan Mahalick, Ephrata; Sandra Louderback, Malvern; son Christoper, Wayne; granddaughter  Jessica Louderback, New Jersey; and great grand daughters Lucy and Ruby Louderback, New Jersey.

 Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the Gate of Heaven Parish, located at 42 Machell Ave, Dallas, PA 18612-1611, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Genero Aguilar. Interment will be held in St. Andre Bessette Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dorchester Street, Dallas.
