Diane Gurdock (Goy),age 54, formerly of Plains, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 1, 1966, and was the daughter of James Goy Sr., and the late Margaret Goy, Plains.
Diane was known by those who knew and loved her, for her independence, love of life, and infectious laugh. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Goy; maternal grandparents Louis and Ethel Conway, and paternal grandparents Helena and Frances Wasmanski. Surviving are her daughter Nicole Herron and grandson Christopher Alba, Plains; son Paul Herron and granddaughter Shyla Herron, Mountain Top; daughter Desiree Gurdock and grand-dog Bailey, Nanticoke; sister Debbie Taylor, Shavertown; sister Bernadine Goy, Shavertown; brother Edward Goy and his significant other, Cindy Collura, Plains, brother James Goy Jr. and his wife Lisa, Plains; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Prior to her death, Diane made the selfless choice of an anatomical gift donation in order to advance cancer research. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Humanity Gifts Registry P.O Box 835 Philadelphia, Pa 19105-0835. Please be sure to include Diane’s name as the donor on the check. A celebration of life will be held in 2021, with the date to be announced.
