Obituary of Mary Cirko

Mary Cirko, 88, of Plains Township, returned home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, while being under care of the Residential Hospice Unit, Wilkes-Barre. Born on November 9,1932, she was a daughter to the late George and Mary Sitek Magda of Hudson. She grew up in Hudson, and attended local Plains Township Schools. Mary lived and worked in Parlin, New Jersey, at the Revlon Company and worked as a light assembler for seventeen years. After 30 years, she retired and returned home to the Hudson section of Plains. Mary was a present member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains. She was a devout Catholic and a past member of the St. Stanislaus Kosta Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; sister Julia Oley; brothers Matthew, Joseph, and Stanley Magda. Surviving is her son James, Hudson; god children: Maryann Quinn, Theresa Murphy, David Magda, and Jeffrey Sadowski many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, on, Tuesday, April 13,2021, at 10:00 am with Rev. Jack Lambert, officiant. Interment will be held in parish cemetery, Plains. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to time of service. Mass will be live streamed on parish Facebook and Yanaitis Funeral Home Facebook.
