Obituary of Charlotte Ann Keller

Charlotte Ann Keller, 74, passed on Monday, May 23, 2022, while in the care of the Meadowview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Montrose. Born in Luzerne on September 13, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Caroline Nafus. She attended Dallas Area schools and was a graduate of the Dallas Area High School. Upon graduation, Charlotte began working as a nurse’s aide at Leader East Nursing and Rehab and the River Street Manor Nursing Home. She completed her career as a visiting nurse in the Wilkes-Barre area caring for the homebound and elderly. On September 27, 1992, Charlotte married Jack Keller. Together they celebrated twenty-nine years of marriage. The couple shared in each other’s hobbies and Charlotte enjoyed going fishing, riding motorcycles, visiting her grandchildren, being with family and friends, and holding her pet cat Ophelia. She was also a member of Saint Stan’s Church Luzerne and currently Holy Family Parish. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Charlie, Joseph, Bill, and Ronald. She is survived by her husband Jack, Binghamton; children John Slakish, Luzerne, and Carol McCann, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren James Sweeney, Scranton; John Sweeney, Wilkes-Barre, Justin McCann and his wife Amanda, Hanover; great granddaughter Gabrielle, sisters Patricia and Lena; brothers George and Michael, along with nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains.
