Obituary of Charles L. Didgeon

Charles (Charlie) Didgeon , 60, of Wilkes-Barre, passed Thursday, December 10, 2015, at his private residence.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son to the late Thomas J. and Veronica Brackna Didgeon. He was employed by the Wilkes-Barre School District serving on the kitchen staff throughout all the schools in the district. Most recently, Charlie worked at Dallas High School as a hall monitor, a job he loved and had hoped to return to due to his failing health.
Charlie was member of St. Benedict's Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was a devout Catholic who was active in the pro-life movement and in the church's rosary group. In his spare time, Charlie would volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, helping the less fortunate.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother Veronica, Father Thomas Sr.,and brother Thomas Jr. He is survived by his sister Diane Kosierowski and her husband Jerry, Olympia, Washington; and nephews Wesley, Nicholas, and Peter Kosierowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Church, Austin Ave, Wilkes-Barre, at 10:00am on Saturday, December 19,2015. Mass will be officiated by Rev. Joseph Kearney, pastor. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. Friends and family may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00am till time of Mass.
