Obituary of Sharon Lee "GRAM" Skiba

Sharon Lee "GRAM" Skiba, was welcomed home into heaven by her Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, with her loving family by her side, while in the care of the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Born in Plymouth on May 16, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Ellyn Bencho. Sharon grew up in the Plymouth area and attended local schools and was a graduate of the Plymouth Area High School, class of 1958. She continued her education and enrolled in a beauty school to become a beautician. After graduation, she was employed by local beauty shops in Plymouth for several years. Sharon then left and worked at the John Heinz Rehabilitation Center, Wilkes-Barre, as the facility beautician. She then finished out her career as the beautician at the Mercy Center, Dallas. In total Sharon worked for fifty years at her trade.
GRAM was what she preferred you to call her. Her most important role in life was caring for and loving her family. Her legacy of love will be carried on by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. GRAM will be missed by all.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Ellyn; and her husband of forty- eight years John J. "POP" Skiba.
Surviving are her daughter Lori and her husband Christopher Oremus, Mountaintops; son Scott Skiba and his wife Karen, Hudson; grandchildren: John Giampietro and his wife Samantha: Brittani Shurmanek and her husband Brian: Nicole Giampietro and her fiancé Paul Narcum: Lia Giampietro: Matthew Giampietro: Jill Savage: and Amy Spinelli; great grandchildren Ariana: Hattie Mae: Tripp: Easton: Adelynn: Baby Giampietro: Baby Narcum: Jaeden: Jahzyl: Ayla: Anthony: and Kaleena; and her extended family and friends.
At the family request services will be held privately at their convenience.
Memorial Donations in Sharon's memory may be given to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc. Plains Twp.
