Obituary of John Siudock Jr.

John Siudock Jr.,72, of Plains Township, passed Thursday, May 11,2023, while in the care of the Commonwealth Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Swoyersville on November 2, 1950, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Anna Seneski Siudock. John grew up in Swoyersville and attended local schools and was a graduate of the Wyoming Valley West High School, class of 1970. After graduation John pursued getting his CDL license and found a lifetime of employment with Penn Refrigeration. After thirty-nine years of employment in 2015 John retired. He held many safe driver awards, none more important than receiving an award for driving 2 million miles with no accidents. This is a testament to how serious and careful John was behind the wheel. After his retirement, John’s primary responsibility was caring for his sick mother who just recently passed in 2021. He also enjoyed spending time with his niece and his two nephews going to ball games or just spending time with them as they grew up. John was a member of the Triangle Club and the local Sheetmetal Workers Union. John is joined in heaven by his loving parents John and Anna, and brothers Michael and Joseph. Surviving to mourn his passing are his sister Mary Ann Gibbon and her husband Rodney, Plains Twp.; niece Bernadette Siudock, Chicago, IL; nephews Jacob Gibbon, Charleston, SC; and Nicholas Gibbon, Plains Twp. In lieu of flowers, John loved animals and wished that any memorial donations may be given to the S.P.C.A of Luzerne County, 524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pa, 18702. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service to be held this Wednesday, May 17,2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lithuanian Independent Cemetery, Stites Street, Wyoming, Pa, 18644. Service will be officiated by Deacon Donald Crane. Arrangements have been placed in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
