Obituary of Robert Jason Davis
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Jason Davis, 47, of Plains Township, a loving husband, dad, and Army Veteran passed unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Born in Bethlehem on September 9, 1976, he was the son of Susan White Blawusch. Rob was raised in the Bethlehem area and attended schools in the Bethlehem area. Rob at a young age developed a passion for being a mechanic and working on vehicles.
Rob, just out of school, started his own business in South Carolina installing car windows. He was doing well with his business until the recession hit and he closed down the business and returned back to the Wyoming Valley.
At the age of 29, Robert made a life decision and joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He served as a specialist and as a diesel mechanic working in the motor pool when he was deployed to Kuwait in 2012-2013. After returning home he still served his community with the National Guard during multiple occasions of flooding along the river when the Guard was called into help.
During this time in his life, Rob met Regina Drasher, who he became a good friend with over seven years. Regina recalls Rob had a special twinkle in his eye and Rob was the life of every party that he was at. Rob would go above and beyond for anyone that he called a friend or family. After a short time together, the happy couple was married on September 5, 2020. Rob filled every moment with laughter of his bad dad jokes and time dancing with his wife. He was loyal and a protector of his family and friends. He was kind hearted, generous, and loved with all he had to give. He could cook and barbecue with the best of us. It is just a horrible tragedy that the light of his life is gone way too soon.
Rob worked for the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store Distribution Center in Pittston for ten years. Currently, he was working for the Cleveland Brother’s in Pittston. When he was at home, Rob was studying to get his Business Management Degree from Colorado Technical University and he was just accepting a job as a federal officer for the Department of Homeland Security working with the Transportation Security Administration at the Lehigh Valley Airport.
When he wasn’t with his first love, his family. He was with his second, working on his jeep in the garage. He spent hours working on it to get it ready for another fun weekend ahead of going off roading. He enjoyed the Jeep Life. He also enjoyed a cold Yuengling Lager while watching Nascar at the L.A.N.I. Club with his fellow veterans.
Now there will be an empty stool where Rob sat, just make sure somebody plays a Journey song in his memory.
Rob now joins in heaven his loving grandmother and Veteran Ruth White-Terwilliger, a World War II Veteran.
Surviving to mourn Rob loss are his loving wife of three years Regina, at home; his mother Susan White Blawusch; son Justin Patrick Davis, Plains; sister Elayne Thomas and her husband Jeremy, Harrisburg; brother Christopher Davis and his wife, Bethlehem; best friend and brother Jamie Petrowski and his wife Katie, Plains; nephew Evan Thomas, Harrisburg, and his three pet children, his dog Gunner, Daisy, and Rusty.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, January 5, 2023, from 2:00p.m. until 4:30p.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc. 55 Stark Street, Plains.
