Obituary of Donald James Romiski

Donald J. Romiski, 48, of Wilkes-Barre passed away at home early Saturday morning. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of Bernadette Shea Romiski and the late Donald R. Romiski. He was a graduate of GAR High school and worked as an electrician for many years prior to his illness. He was a member of Saint Stainislaus's in Wilkes-Barre, North End section and He was a avid fisherman. He was proceeded in death by his brother Scott, 1998 and his father Donald in 2001. By maternal grandparents, Mary and Leo Shea, and paternal grandparents Evelyn and Steve Romiski. He is survived by his daughters Kaitlyn, Hanover Twp and Victoria, Plains. He is also survived by his brother Jeffery, Wilkes-Barre, his sister Donna and her husband Joseph Hritz, Exeter, his brother Kevin, Pine Tops North Carolina, several nieces and nephews and one great niece, and also his buddy Haylee. Donald is also survived by his wife Kathryn Romiski of Plains. A special thank you to Dr. Frank Olshemski and staff for their care of Don. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Yanaitis Funeral Home ,55 Stark Street, Plains. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning starting at the funeral home at 9:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains.
