Obituary of Marion I Nutaitis

Marion I. Nutaitis, 85, of Kingston, formerly of Plains Twp., passed on Sunday, May 3, 2015, while in the care of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born on March 18, 1930, in the Hilldale section of Plains, she was a daughter to the late Louis and Elvira (Vera) Carnevali Isopi.
She attended local schools including the Plains Memorial High School. She worked in various dress factories throughout the Plains and Wilkes-Barre area. After 35 years, Marion retired.
She was proud of being a Catholic and of her parish the former St. Joseph Church, Hudson. After the church's closure, she became a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains.
Marion married Ernest C. Nutaitis on December 31, 1950. Together they raised their three boys: Ernest Jr, Bruce, and Richard. Ernest died on January 28, 2009, after fifty nine years of marriage to Marion.
Marion' s life was filled with playing bingo, working in the garden, doing ceramics, and going fishing with Ernest. She would never get angry, just say" Wait till your father gets home." Her story telling abilities would draw you in and you would forget all your problems and just listen. Most of all we will miss her infectious laugh and smile. She was always outgoing for others, a true Christian at heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest Sr., brother Raymond; and nephew Raymond Jr.
Surviving Marion are her sons Ernest Jr, Hudson; Bruce and his wife Edna, Dallas; Richard, Plains; sisters Jenny Zielinski, Ocean City , NJ, Loretta Kutulka, Wyoming; sister in law Geraldine Hurko and her husband Joseph, Hudson; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 8, 2015, at 9:00am from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 stark street, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be he held at 9:30 am in Ss. Peter and Paul. Interment will be in St.Joseph Cemetery, Hudson. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 to 7.
