Obituary of Alex Brian Everett

Alexander (Alex) Brian Everett, 21, of Plains Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
Born on August 25, 1993, in Ludwigshafen, Germany, he was a son to Harvey and Angelika Grunkel Everett Jr. When Alex was still a baby his family moved back to the Wyoming Valley. Growing up, Harvey enjoyed vacationing with his family and traveling the world. He loved the outdoors especially going on fishing trips with his dad, and brother, Harvey; or just spending time in the back yard with his dogs Roxie and Loki.
Alex attended local schools and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 2011. Since then, he has been employed by McCarthy Tire and Auto as a Tire Technician.
Alex is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Werner Grunkel, and his paternal grandfather Harvey Everett Sr.
Surviving Alex are his parents Harvey and Angelika Everett, Plains Twp.; brother Harvey Everett III, Plains Twp.; maternal grandmother Eleonore Grunkel of Germany; paternal grandmother Mary Everett of Wilkes-Barre; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alex's Funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 9:00am from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Interment/Entombment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery/Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Friends and family can call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:oo pm to 9:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, Alex loved to volunteer and working with animals, so we are asking that memorial donations be given to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pa, 18702.
