Obituary of Mary Kay Konopczyk

Mary Wildes Konopczyk, 56, of Kingston returned to the lord at General Hospital Monday March 21, surrounded by her loving family and her very special cousin Patrice.
Born January 17, 1960 in Syracuse, New York, she was a daughter of the late Donald Wildes and Monica (Drogalis) Wildes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Dennis Wildes and sister-in-law Susan Wildes.
After graduating from James M. Coughlin High School, she continued her education at L.C.C.C. securing her degree in business.
Mary is survived by brothers Donald Wildes and wife Cindy, Virginia Beach, Va; Michael Wildes and wife Cathy, Wilkes-Barre Twp. ; Sisters Cheryl Wildes-Doucet, Danville, N.H.; Marie Beretski and husband David, Wilkes-Barre. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mary had a big heart and loved working with the elderly and as a foster grandparent, and had a great sense of humor. She had much love for her pets and shared a special bond with her nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind some "special" friends at Dan Flood Towers. Her brothers and sisters have many fond memories growing up and will miss her deeply.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street ,Plains, with the Reverend Joseph Kearney officiating. A memorial service and mass will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Yanaitis Funeral Home in Mary's memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of General Hospital CCU who provided their support and care. They would also like to thank Dr. Bruce Saidman, Medical Oncology Associates, Kingston and their staff.
