A true gentleman. One of my first business contacts after relocating to this area. Honest, straight-forward, hard working and helpful. I am very glad to have met Bob and grateful for his assistance, introducing me to people, contacts and referrals. I wish we would have connected for dinner like he suggested so many times. I only knew him for a little over a year, but will not forget him. Rest in Peace.

Bobby's friends, Brigid and Keiren O'Connor, have arranged to have the Fathers, Brothers and Seminarians of the Oblates of St Joseph remember him in their Masses, prayers, sacrifices and good works. This will be for a year's time. We are very grateful to Brigid and Keiren for their kindness in remembering Bob this way.

True story- Bob once found himself on a jet flight sitting next to none other than the great comedian Henny Youngman. Henny introduced himself and Bob proceeded to entertain him with numerous hilarious anecdotes. Henny Youngman laughed and laughed and told Bob that he was going to use some of the stories in his act! Bob had a sense of humor and gift of story telling that was legendary among his friends, but admired by one of the world's greatest stand up comics. Those of us who were lucky to hear his stories over dinner will well remember the times when we could barely eat for laughing. A mechanical genius, but the sometimes the funniest guy in the world. They'll be laughing in heaven!

Cousin Bob- We remember:
Rainy afternoons watching old movies with you.
At your shop, with my sons- watching the trains go by and waving at the trainmen while your dog Kelly barked and wagged. Then showing us your latest projects and inventions.
Going to Joe's Diner for soup.
Touring the old neighborhoods of childhood with you.
The parties we had in the basement of your home- with half the neighborhood, "The Irish Ladies" singing away, and a house full of friends who loved you.
Your love of stuffed cabbage, pierogi and Kielbasi...apple strudel, poppyseed roll, and the pumpkin cake that I made this time of year. (I made one today and thought of you)
Practical jokes when you would call friends and leave messages to make them laugh.
Your annual party where the entire town seemed to be there. You insisted upon the best of everything- music and food. You truly appreciated friends, neighbors and family.
Cousin Bob, with a microphone in hand, singing Elvis Presley songs with your super Karaoke DJ equipment. What a beautiful voice! You sang- "Are You Lonesome Tonight?"
A lot of us will have a lonesome place in our lives without you.

I'll always remember the summer vacations we spent in Wilkes-Barre and the fun I've had with cousin Bobby. I have fond memories of laughing with him and joking at our parents expense. I remember one of several trips as an adult where he carried on a conversation with my mother and at the same time a separate conversation with me, wihout missing a word. My children remember his generosity and light hearted personality. I just hope he knew how much we love him and miss him.

Bobby's mother and my mother were sisters, but for most of our lives we didn't live near each other. For the last several months I'd been talking to him often and got to know him as the unique and interesting person everyone else knew. I'm very grateful now for that time. I will miss him and wish I'd gotten to see him once more. Maureen (Brogan) Lyons
