Obituary of Ronald Francis Krysiewski
Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On September 30, 2014, the music in heaven started to sound a little sweeter as local blues singer Ronald F. "The Shadow" Krysiewski put on his dark glasses and grabbed his microphone and left this earth to join in singing with blues greats Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, two of his favorites.
Ron was born in Wilkes-Barre on November 17, 1950, he was a son to the late Leon and Frances Lulis Krysiewski. Ron attended local schools and was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, class of 1968. When Ron turned eighteen, he started learning the trade of plumbing. During this time, he started singing with his first band, Happy Ending. He also was the lead singer for Sting Ray's Blues Band. Most recently he could be found singing blues music in local bars.
Ron continued his education at L.C.C.C. where he graduated with an Associate's degree in plumbing and heating. After completion of his schooling, Ron was employed by West Side Plumbing. Later on, Ron decided to open Ron Krysiewski Plumbing and Heating Service. He was in business serving the Wyoming Valley for over thirty years until his retirement. This gave Ron more time to focus on his love of singing.
Ron is preceded in death by brothers Bernard, Leon Jr., and sister Theresa Haczewski.
Surviving are his son Ronald, Nanticoke; daughter Amanda, Plains; brother Stephen, Kingston; sister Gloria Oley and her husband Leroy, Plains, and his two precious granddaughters Sophia and Amelia, Nanticoke.
