Betty, Susan, Janet - I'm sorry for the loss of your Husband & Father.
Like everyone else I only have fond memories of Johnnie packing up the van when we were young with sodas, and chips in route up to the diamond to light off fireworks. Later in life I remember coming home for the holidays and taking rolls of kielbasa back to Washington. He was such a good man and would always have time to talk even if he was busy. He is loved and missed and we are all blessed to have had him in our lives at one time or another. Predkosc bogiem
Our prayers are with you and your family.
Love Bernie, Adam & Matthew Hudler

Hudson has lost another pillar of the community. Such a kind and gentle man I will always remember going into his store as a kid for candy and popsicles, The thing I remember most was his ability to make each person feel that they were the most important thing he had to do at that moment.
You cannot speak the name John Kupstas without including the words best kielbosi ever in the same sentence. Even after his retirement I used to look forward to him opening the store to sell kielbosi at Easter and Christmas.
Last of a dying breed? I'm certain of that, I'm also certain that his inspiration will live on in the lives of those that had the good fortune of knowing him. Godspeed John and rest well. We are all better off for having known you.

Uncle John was such a wonderful, kind man. I always enjoyed the stories he would tell me about himself and my mom. My mom always told me what a wonderful brother he was. Now they will enjoy each others company again in heaven.

When Dad and Mom had the store, they had an old fashioned "McCaskey" credit register. People would buy groceries on "credit" back then and pay their bill once a week. However, there were so many people that didn't pay. I would say "Daddy, why don't you make them give you the money?" - he would say - "They don't have the money and they need help". He was so generous! He would give anyone, friend or stranger, the shirt off his back.
