Obituary of Helen Marie Savage

On April 10, 2014, our precious mother, Helen Marie Savage, peacefully passed away surrounded by family. She now joins the love of her life, her husband, our father, Thomas. Helen was the daughter of the late Lewis and Julia Visocki Belcher. She resided in Plymouth attending Plymouth schools until marrying her soul mate Tom. After marriage, Helen and Tom moved to Mountain Lake were they raised two daughters. They lived an exceptional life filled with love, travel and adventures. They always showed generosity, kindness, and respect toward neighbors and all living creatures. Their acts of kindness and good deeds will live on in the hearts of many. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas; parents: Lewis and Julia; and by her brother George Belcher. She is survived by her daughters Tammy Soreth and her husband Carmen of Toms River, New Jersey; and Darlene Farber and husband John, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren James Weigand; Philadelphia; Joshua Thomas, Mountain Lake; Jessica Stucker, Warner Robins, Georgia; and Brianna Soreth, Toms River, New Jersey; great grandchildren Jenna Thomas; Joshua Thomas, Juliann Thomas, and Serenity Stucker; sisters Bernadine Clark, Plymouth, and Joan Belcher, Mountain Lake. A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains. A Christian wake service will be officiated by Rev. Joseph Kearney, Pastor of St. Benedict Parish, Parsons. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
