Obituary of Jean Louise Frank

Jean Louise ( Rodak ) Frank, 68, of Dallas, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, August 12, 1945, she was a daughter to the late John and Verna Bozenski Rodak. She grew up in the Miners Mills area, attended Ss. Peter and Paul School and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, class of 1963. After graduation, Jean became the secretary of the Ss. Peter and Paul Parish. She was very active with the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality and the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine education. On September 28, 1968, Jean married Daniel R. Frank, and they shared forty-five years of marriage together. Throughout this time, Jean became a homemaker and mother caring for their daughter Jeanie. As Jeanie grew up, Jean was very active in her daughter's activities. She was past member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains. She is preceded in death by her sisters Elizabeth Wierzbinski and Patricia Stella; and a brother Raymond Rodak. Jean is survived by her husband Daniel, at home; daughter Jeanie, Scranton; sisters Helen Hassler, Clark, NJ; Mary Suchoski and her husband Edmund; Wilkes-Barre; Louise Cookus and her husband Gerald, Wilkes-Barre; brother John Rodak and his wife Regina, Southampton, Pa; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 9:30 AM in the Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Mass will be celebrated by Rev. John Boyle, Pastor. Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery, Plains. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be given to the Medical Oncology Prescription Fund, 382 Pierce St, Kingston, Pa, 18704.
