Obituary of Anthony Albert Fazzi

Mr. Anthony (Tony) A. Fazzi, 57, of Wilkes-Barre, passed on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Commonwealth Hospice unit at St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.
Tony was born in Wilkes-Barre, on February 27, 1957, to the parents of Albert and Amelia Plisko Fazzi. He attended local schools and graduated from G.A.R. high school, class of 1975. He continued his education by learning the trade of being a welder. After completing his education, Tony found employment with Pittston Electric and Freedman Electric Companies in the sales department.
After a few years, Tony left and started to work for the Bear Creek Road Department, Bear Creek Township. After several years, he became the road foreman to one of the work crews. Tony loved his work and enjoyed being outdoors.
His hobbies included riding dirt bikes; golfing; fishing; camping; barbecuing with his family. Tony was always good with his hands. He enjoyed fixing cars and working on projects with his friends. Most of all Tony loved to spend time with his granddaughter, "Josie".
He was preceded in death by his brother Albert Anthony Fazzi, 1974.
Tony is survived by his parents Albert and Amelia, Wilkes-Barre; son Anthony and his wife Alyse, Harrisburg; granddaughter Josephine; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held this evening, Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 7:00 pm, Deacon Leo Thompson will be officiating the service. Service will be at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains. Friends and family may call at the funeral home this evening from 5:00pm until time of the service.
