Obituary of Nellie G. Peletski

Nellie G. Peletski, 88, of the Hudson section of Plains, returned to the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2016.
Born on February 14, 1928, in Plains, she was a daughter to the late George and Jennie Suchoski Kwasnick. Nellie grew up in Hudson. She attended local elementary school and attended the Plains Memorial High School.
Nellie was first employed by Bundles of Joy Clothing where she became a sewing machine operator and enjoyed making baby garments. Some years later, she became employed by the Plains Manufacturing Company, where she was employed until her retirement.
In her spare time, Nellie enjoyed sewing doll clothes for Barbie dolls, making Halloween costumes for her niece and nephew, and baking her famous banana cakes for her family and friends. She also made clothes pin bags in her free time that found their way onto most of the clothes lines in Hudson.
Nellie was a past member of the I.L.G.W.U. and the Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Plains.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard; sister Charlotte Kwasnick, infant sister Jeanette Kwasnick and grand nephew Joshua Robert Newell.
Surviving Nellie are her sister Maryann Prymus, Ashley; nieces Wendi Prymus-Newell, Jenkins Twp., Roxanne Bozek, Plains; nephew Tim Newell, Wilkes-Barre Township; grand nieces Tiffany Newell, and Raven Bozek; and grand nephew T.J. Newell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, November 8, 2016, at 10:00am in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:00am until the time of the service.
