Obituary of Margaret Catherine Krill
Margaret Catherine Krill, 99, of Plains Township, was greeted by her Lord in the early morning hours on Monday, November 20, 2017, while in the care of the Partridge-Tippet Nursing Facility at Wesley Village, Inkerman.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 21, 1918, she was one of twelve children of the late Paul and Catherine Budzak Ciprich. Margaret grew up in Wilkes-Barre area and attended local schools.
Margaret married the love of her life, Michael Krill, and together they moved to Sayreville, New Jersey. Margaret worked as a saleswoman in the Greenfield Department Store for fifteen years. She was also a dedicated mother of her loving daughter.
Margaret's faith was a major part of her life and she enjoyed participating in her parish church in Sayreville, Our Lady of Victories and was a member of the school’s PTA.
Margaret returned to the Wyoming Valley several years after her husband Michael passed in June of 1982. She lived in Wilkes-Barre and joined the Sacred Heart Parish on North Main Street. She later joined St. Benedict’s Parish, Wilkes-Barre, after Sacred Heart Parish closed.
Over the years, Magaret enjoyed playing bingo and loved to watch her favorite game shows.
Margaret enjoyed her retirement and title of grandmother and caregiver to her two grandson’s Matthew and Michael. Her family was everything and she took great pride in having a hand in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her husband Michael, brothers John, Joseph, Paul, Rudy, Frank, and George, sisters Ann Vesuvida and Mary Mazur; and infant twin siblings.
Margaret’s memory will live on with her surviving daughter Monica Lessard, Plains Twp; grandsons Michael Collins, Plains Twp. and Matthew Collins, Baton Rouge, LA; sister Agnes Siskovich, Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, Hudson Road, Plains, with Rev. Jack Lambert, officiant. Interment will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Sayreville, New Jersey at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends may call at the church Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of the Mass.
