Robert Mrak Jr. 31, of Wilkes-Barre, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at his private residence.

Born in Plains on April 7, 1986, he was the son of Robert “Rocky” and Linda Musko Mrak.  Robert attended Plains schools and graduated from James M. Coughlin, class of 2004.

Robert joined his father working in the family landscaping business Mrak-u-Less Landscaping. For fourteen years, he greeted everyone with a smile and had a passion for his work.

Robert in his downtime had a passion for cooking. He would create unique meals with food he harvested from his garden and from hunting and fishing trips that he enjoyed with his dad.

Robert loved animals especially his dog “ Sonja” and he recently rescued a cat named “Kyyrikki” .

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Louis Mrak Sr. and Genevieve Malys Mrak.

Surviving are his loving parents Robert and Linda, Plains; sister Holly Mrak, Plains; maternal grandparents Richard and Dolores Musko, Plains; wife Maria Mrak, Shavertown; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

            Funeral for Robert will be held on Friday, December 1, at 9:30 a.m from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc.,55 Stark Street, Plains. A Christian Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m in Saints Peter and Paul Church, Hudson Road, Plains, by Rev. Jack Lambert, Pastor. Interment is private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, November 30, evening from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
