Obituary of Hermine Mascelli

Hermine Mascelli, 86, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at
her son's home in Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born on September 30, 1926 to Joseph and Amelia Szymanski
Moscijewski and lived for much of her life on N. Cleveland Street in
Miners Mills, PA. Hermine worked as a dressmaker until her retirement
in 1986. She was preceded in death by husband Stanley Kaczinski, 1975,
and husband Peter Mascelli, 1999.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Mary) Kaczinski, grandchildren
Melanie, Megan and Matthew Kaczinski of Perrysburg, Ohio, sister
Stella Tomshack of Plains, niece Patricia (Jim) Marnin of Wheat Ridge,
Colorado, nephews John Tomshack and Joe Tomshack, sister-in-law
Eleanor Macewski, and many dear friends including Elizabeth Knappman.
Hermine was an active volunteer with several organizations including
the Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, RSVP, and the CEO. She received a
Jefferson Award in 2010 for her tireless volunteer work. She led a
crochet group at the Plains Township Senior Citizens Center and
crocheted hundreds of lap robes, booties and prayer shawls for various
organizations. She was an angel to many while on earth, and is now an
angel in heaven. A private funeral service will be held at the
convenience of her family. Services are in the care of the Yanaitis
Funeral Home Inc. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation
to a charity of your choice.
