Obituary of Jane Rose Psikus

Jane Rose Psikus, 89, formerly of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday, January 3, 2012, at St. Joseph Manor, Brockton, Massachusetts. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Jane was the daughter to the late Andrew and Stella Kantor Szustak. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1941.She was employed as a dress examiner for Tina Dress, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of SS.Peter and Paul Church, Plains, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, & The Polish Women's Alliance. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and making quilts for the church. She was married to the late Walter L. Psikus, who died on September 15, 2008. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. She is preceded in death by her brothers Alexander and Stanley Szustak. Surviving are her daughter Doreene Gonick and her husband Marc, Easton, Ma; and grandson Joshua Gonick, Easton, Ma. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Manor, Brockton, Ma and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been placed in the care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home, Plains.
