Obituary of James Emil Jr.
James Emil Jr.,36, of Wyoming, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 20,2018, while in the care of the Commonwealth Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston on January 17,1982, James was son of James Emil Sr. and Deborah Booth. James attended different schools throughout the valley and attended Pittston Area High School.
James held employment as a truck driver for Lehigh Construction Company and for Mountaintop Concrete until its closure. He also worked as a landscaper for Varsity Landscaping of Swoyersville. He left Varsity and decided to start his own small landscaping business for a short time. He was currently employed by Kappa Graphics of Hughestown.
He was a true handy man at heart with a can-do attitude. He enjoyed remodeling homes, and working on cars and old Ford trucks. If you were his close friend, James loved his history and math and sometimes, you would get his fun facts for today. He loved to cook everything except making eggs, he just couldn’t get dippy eggs and omelet right.
At the end of the day, James would go home to his love, fiancée Rhonda Petro, and their two precious children Abigayle and Peyton. As a family, James enjoyed going fishing, but most of all just being with them.
Surviving are his father James Sr. and his wife Rose Marie Emil, Pittston; mother Deborah Booth, Exeter; fiancée Rhonda Petro, Wyoming; daughter Abigayle Emil; Wyoming; son Peyton Emil, Wyoming; sister Lisa Marie Emil, Edwardsville, half-brothers Walter Booth III, Kingston and William Booth, Kingston; and half-sister Amy Booth, Pueblo, CO; step brother Carl Shotwell III, Pittston, step sister Sheila Sedar, Wilkes-Barre, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark Street, Plains.
