Obituary of Edmund A. Suchocki
Edmund Suchocki of Miners Mills passed peacefully at Geisinger Medical Center surrounded by family, Tuesday at the age of 90.
He was the son of Walter and Stella Macaravage Suchocki. Edmund attended Coughlin High School and was an army veteran. He was an excellent machinist working at Kanaar then Intermetro until his retirement.
Edmund enjoyed his weekly drives, going golfing with Mary at White Birch, then to the Hometown Market. He loved to travel the country and see new places, but Disney was his favorite. He was a musician and played the accordion and clarinet, but is best known for the harmonica. Family members looked forward to their birthday serenades. He avidly read his newspapers and loved spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years Mary Rodak Suchocki, daughters Susan Suchocki also of Miners Mills, Marie Suchocki Brennan and her husband Dave, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Edmund will be held on Saturday, March 30, at 9:30 a.m. from the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc.,55 Stark Street, Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, Hudson Road, Plains, by Rev. John C. Lambert, Pastor. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held on Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
