Obituary of Francis Lee Rush
Please share a memory of Francis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Francis Lee Rush, 58, of Plains Township, passed in the early morning hours on Thursday, October 8, 2020, after succumbing to his battle against cancer. He was not alone in this fight, his family was by his bedside as he left for heaven.
Francis(Frank) was a hardworking man, father of four, husband, grandfather, cousin, and a good, generous, kind person. He worked for Haines and Kibblehouse for over 35 years. Recently, he was working for Stell Enterprise. Frank was one of the best damn roller operators ever. On top of working full time, he ran apartment buildings and did repairs for people who needed them. Carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and anything else you can think of, he was a jack of all trades and great at them all. Frank was always willing to help others using his skills. He was never hesitant to share his knowledge and teach people what he knew. Education was important to him and he always continued to encourage his kids and grandchildren to do their best. Frank loved to relax in his backyard with his family and friends by his fire pit. He loved and cared for his two beloved rescue cats, Beth and Scuffy. He had a green thumb and cared for many plants. He collected antique pieces of furniture and restored them. Frank was beloved by everyone who truly knew him. He will be deeply missed, but he will always be in our hearts.
A special thank you goes out to Stell Enterprise, Frank’s doctors, nurses, and hospice for stepping in when he needed you the most. Thank you all for your compassion.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Mary Ellen McDonald Rush, and his nephew Tommy Uzialko.
Surviving are his wife Joann Kubicki Rush; daughter Melissa Rush; son Ryan Rush; step son Michael Kubicki and his wife Melissa Joffe Kubicki; and their two children Kaitlyn and Michael; step son Matthew Kubicki and his daughter Azaleia Zenon Kubicki; his cousin Margie Madison and family; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family.
